4th of July Fun

The kids had a good time at Uncle Andy's and Aunt Kim's. Mason spent the day splashing in the pool and ordering Cousin Jack around.

Update on the Sindelar kids

Well, the Sindelar kids have been busy. Layla had her first outing to church, and Mason decided to take a handful of landscaping rocks. Guess we need to work on the Commandment "thou shall not steal". He thought it was funny. Apparently eternal damnation is hilarious. That worries me. We also traveled back to Omaha for "Brandpa's" and Nana's Anniversary party where Layla was all decked out for the occasion and the Belle of the Ball.

Current stats: Mason is a whopping 34 pounds and talking all the time. He is a little repeater so when Daddy says naughty words, he sure knows how to echo them! We are working on potty training. So far he has peed and pooped in the toilet, and doing well. He loves having "Baby La la" around and tries very hard to help out with her. He actually is pretty helpful too. Layla is every bit of 10 pounds, if not more. She smiles and holds her head up, but still sleeps most of the time. She is 7 weeks old, has 10 pairs of shoes and a closet full of clothes.

More pics of the Sindelar kids

Here are the kiddos. Layla has her first bath at home, Mason got a "Big Brother" sticker that HAD to be worn on his head, and the others are just them getting to know each other.

Mason's 2nd Birthday!

How can he be 2 already!? Mason had a choo-choo cake for his birthday and got to bring his baby sister home. He is adjusting very well. He likes having Layla around and seems to be ok with her getting some extra attention. But . . . if she touches his trucks, it may be a different story.

Layla's Homecoming

We got to go home on Monday,. So Layla was, of course, dressed to the 9's, courtesy of Nana Ferraro.

Layla Jean is here!!

Sorry it has taken us so long to post pics, but here is our new addition.
Here are her stats:
Born: May 22, 2009 at 5:34 pm via C-Section
Weight: 7 lbs 15.5 oz
Length: 21 in
We were blessed with Layla Jean just hours after we lost our precious Grandpa Ferraro. God closed the door on his wonderful life and gave us a new little one. We think they "high fived" as they passed each other coming and going from Heaven. We were truly blessed to have Grandpa for so long and are excited to see how Grandpa comes out in little Layla.

A Sindelar girl is a rarity these days, but she already has Dan wrapped around her finger. And Big Brother Mason likes holding her when she's sleeping.

Here are some pics of Layla and the rest of us in the hospital.

Life at the Sindelar house

Even though we have busy schedules, Mason still finds the time to be the coolest kid on the block with his sunglasses and bomber jacket. He also finds time to make the "monster face", read books and look like a stud after a hair cut. We also do some strange things here, like falling asleep on tables.
